Using the 3D Compass Tool

The 3D Compass tool allows for precise manipulation of teeth in the Treatment Setup.
It features directional arrows for vertical, horizontal, and depth movements, along with rotation controls to enhance visualization and accuracy.

You can adjust the default rotation during 3D edits for better control over crown and root adjustments and hinge rotations.

After selecting a tooth, black dots will appear on each side, allowing you to change the rotation from the tooth's center to the tip of the crown or mesial/distal sides for more targeted movements.

Rotation Root Movement
Selecting the distal point and rotating allows for hinge rotation along with mesial in and out movements, providing greater control over the outcome.Compass Tool_Mesial In Out_V2_10.24.gif

When utilizing the Individual Tooth Movement tool, the proposed movement suggested by the technician will be displayed in gray on the Movement Chart.

The most current change that has been made will appear in teal.

You can also select the cell in the Movement Chart to type in a numerical value for movement.
