Overview
Register as a provider
The first step to creating an order with ClearCorrect is to register as a provider. You can register on Straumann's eShop or, in regions where eShop is not available, in the Doctor Portal directly. To learn more on registering as a ClearCorrect provider see the following article:
Collect the Patient Informed Consent
Before you begin creating an order, have your patient read and sign a Patient Informed Consent. It's important for your patients to understand the risks and benefits of clear aligner therapy. You can download an example form in the footer of the Doctor Portal (ensure the form adheres to all local laws in your area - the form provided should only be used as an example). Keep the signed document for your records.
Step 1: New Order
After logging into the Doctor Portal, you will be taken to the Manage Orders page.
1. To create an order for aligners, click on the Management Tab in the header, and then select 'New Aligner Order.' Alternatively, scroll down to the 'Manage Orders' Section and hover over the plus symbol to access the 'New Aligner Order' button.
2. The Create an Order page will open, and you can begin the workflow for creating an order.
Step 2: General information
For the General Information section, perform the following steps:
1. Treating Practice:
- Select the practice you are treating this patient from. This is where the Aligners will be shipped.
2. Patient Information:
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Gender
3. Treatment Information:
- Treat Arches
- Chief Complaint
Step 3: Records Uploader
The Records Uploader contains three tabs:
3D-Models |
Scans or PVS Impressions:
|
Photos |
Photos of eight specific angles:
|
X-Rays |
Intraoral X-Rays:
Note: X-rays are optional for permanent dentition cases, but mandatory for mixed dentition cases. |
For the Records Uploader section, perform the following steps for each tab:
3D Models
1. Click on the dropdown menu to select your intraoral scanner (IOS), your preferred IOS integration, or 'PVS Impressions' if you are submitting physical impressions.
2. Select 'Add File' to upload images from your files for both upper and lower arches. Bite scans are optional. If using a direct integration with an intraoral scanner, some files may already be present.
3. If submitting physical impressions, you will be provided a shipping label once you have completed the online submission form, so you can ship them to ClearCorrect.
-
PVS Impressions - We only accept any silicone-based impression material, including PVS, VPS, and polyether material. Alginate won’t work, and neither will stone models. We need impressions for both arches—even if you’re only treating one arch. Bite registrations are optional. Use disposable impression trays—metal and mesh trays can’t be scanned. Physical records will not be returned; they are disposed after processing.
Photos
1. Upload bulk files by dragging and dropping files or by clicking in the rectangular area.
2. Photos can then be sorted by dragging and dropping to the correct photo angle.
3. 8 photo angles are required with your submission.
4. You may select a primary photo by clicking on the 'Set as primary' icon in the lower left corner of the desired photo.
5. Alternatively, you can use the ClearCorrect Sync App to capture photos. For more about the ClearCorrect Sync App for a more efficient practice management, see the following article: ClearCorrect® Sync App - Overview and How to Use
X-Rays (Optional)

Step 4: Treatment Approach
Completing this section will guide you through the treatment protocols for the case and provide the technician with instructions on how to prepare your treatment setup.
Select dentition type:

(Note*: This indication is not available in all regions; check the IFU for your country at ifu.clearcorrect.com to confirm the indication for your region.)

The treatment approach defines your overarching vision for the patient's treatment.
