Pricing and Plan Information:
Where do I find the Treatment Pricing Options for my case?
The Treatment Pricing Options for the case you are submitting are provided once you review and approve the treatment setup for the case.
For more information on available Treatment Pricing Options please see articles:
Can I upgrade my treatment plan after approving a setup?
If you need a more comprehensive treatment plan, you may choose to upgrade active cases to the next available plan for a fee from either the case details page or the revision form. For example, upgrading from ONE to TWO increases the number of revisions and retainers included in your plan. It would also extend the expiry date to 24 months from date of 1st shipment. In effect, it will be as though you ordered a TWO treatment plan during the initial case start instead of a ONE. Upgrades are not available for "expired cases".
Case Submission and Verification:
How can I estimate how many aligners will be needed?
You don't have to worry about it. Just submit the case, and we'll show you how many steps it should take to reach your goals on the treatment setup.
With education and experience, you'll get a better feel for how long different types of movement might take.
If you need to keep treatment within a certain duration, due to time or cost constraints, choose the "Limit" option when submitting your case, and consider limiting your goals to minor anterior movements.
How do I verify the details of my case submission before I submit it?
To verify the details of your submission, click on any of the step numbers to ensure the information you have input is correct.
Is overcorrection built into the treatment setup?
Overcorrection is only added to the case per the clinician's instructions. Overcorrection can be requested at the beginning of a case when filling out the submission form, when submitting a revision or when reviewing/approving the treatment setup.
Sometimes I need help evaluating the treatment setup, what should I look for?
When approving a treatment setup, it's best to begin with the end in mind—consider the whole treatment and the goals for that particular patient. Also, when filling out the case submission form, the more information you provide, the better treatment setups you'll receive. You may also consider working with a 3rd party Treatment Planning Optimization service; see the question below for more details.
For more information, see our recommendations for how to evaluate the treatment setup in our Help Center article on this topic.
Can I work with a 3rd party Treatment Planning Optimization service to help optimize my setups?
You have many options to work with Treatment Planning Optimization service groups when using ClearCorrect. You can purchase TPO for your cases from one of our TPO partners directly within the Doctor Portal. Simply click “Add TPO Order” on the last page of the submission form to view the integrated TPO options available in your market. You can also choose to “Add TPO” order from the case details page after initial submission if you decide you would like treatment planning assistance after reviewing the initial setup. Finally, you may purchase TPO for revisions when submitting the revision form. After purchasing TPO in the submission form, the case will automatically be shared via the Collaborator Suite, and you can monitor its status using the Collaborator tools.
Additionally, you are welcome to work with any other TPO providers of your choice by sharing cases with them via the Collaborator Suite. While payment options may not be integrated, you can still use the communication and optimization tools available in the Collaborator Suite with other TPO providers who agree to the ClearCorrect terms and conditions.
How do I make adjustments to a treatment setup?
If the 3D model looks inaccurate, you want to move the teeth differently, or you want to cancel the case, click 'DISAPPROVE' in ClearPilot.
You can 'DISAPPROVE' a case and communicate with the technician in the comments panel in ClearPilot to let us know your request. Our technicians will evaluate and work to make the requested changes and provide a new version of the treatment setup for you to review for approval.
How can I have a virtual power chain added to the end of the treatment setup so that I have all the required aligners, including for the power chain, without having to request a revision?
When submitting the case, simply ask for overcorrection with a digital power chain on the last two step using the Additional Information field in the prescription form in order to get a virtual power chain without having to request a revision.
What if I forgot to include something with my case submission box for PVS impressions?
If you forgot to include some of the required items in your submission box (or if you need to send replacements for unusable impressions), send them to us in any suitable shipping box, along with a packing slip (can be printed from the "ACTION NEEDED" tab, which is where the case will be located if there are any missing records or items) or any piece of paper with the patient's name and case number, so we can identify who the additional items belong to. The brown boxes that we use to ship aligners to your office are designed to be re-used to ship impressions, but you can use any appropriately sturdy corrugated carton.
How can I finish up an incomplete submission?
If you have an incomplete submission that you would like to finish up, you can simply click on the patient’s name on the "Manage Orders" page.
How do I add/remove photos for a case I already submitted?
If you did not include any photos when submitting your case, you should see "Waiting for records" on the "Manage Orders" page. If you click on the case, under the "ACTION NEEDED" tab, there will be an option to upload the photos to complete the submission.
If you included some photos, but need to remove them or add more, then you will need to call, email or chat a Customer Care Representative for assistance.
Do I need to take a cephalometric x-ray?
No. We don't require x-rays but if you have them, its a good idea to upload them with the case. We accept panoramic x-ray or a full mouth x-ray series (FMX). See this article for more information on photos & x-rays.
Note: X-rays are optional for permanent dentition cases, but mandatory for mixed dentition cases.
What is “Treatment Approach” and how should I decide this for my case?
ClearCorrect introduced the “Treatment Approach” as a tool to communicate high-level treatment goals to treatment planning technicians. Initially, you will indicate the dentition type as either "Permanent" or "Mixed Dentition*". Afterward, select the "Treatment Approach":
- “Aesthetic” approach will focus on simple alignment in the anterior aesthetic zone with no molar movements.
- “Full Arch Correction” approach will consider all underlying orthognathic and orthodontic conditions.
By providing a dynamic prescription form which branches based on your desired approach, we can offer simple treatment selections for simple cases, and more advanced treatment selections for complex cases.
(*Note: This indication is not cleared in all regions; check the IFU for your country at ifu.clearcorrect.com to confirm the indication for your region.)
Treatment Details and Preferences:
Can I do IPR before I take impressions and request no additional IPR?
Generally speaking, no. We recommend taking impressions first, and waiting to perform IPR until the recommended phase, for the following reasons:
- Impressions do not always capture enough detail to reproduce the spacing properly.
- If more IPR than necessary is performed in one arch, you might need to perform IPR in the opposing arch to compensate. (We usually recommend IPR in just one arch, whenever possible.)
- It's best to minimize the amount of time that patients have excess space between their teeth.
How do you determine which teeth will start the movement?
First and foremost, we follow your prescription and preferences defined in the Doctor Portal. Whenever we don't have specific instructions, we apply our default protocols on a case-by-case basis to help get the outcomes you prescribe for your patients.
Can I save my treatment preferences? How does this affect my cases?
Yes. ClearCorrect highly recommends you review and update your treatment preferences prior to starting any case. Treatment preferences are checked along with the prescription form when treatment planning technicians are preparing your setup. Preferences enable the clinician to communicate a variety of details to treatment planning technicians with ease, which greatly helps technicians to optimize new setups to the clinicians' specifications.
In order to view and/or modify your treatment preferences, simply navigate to “My Account”, then click “Preferences” in the left-hand menu. When selecting preferences, please don’t forget to click the “save” button at the bottom to commit your changes.
To learn more about treatment preference options, please refer to the treatment preferences article.
