Can more than one doctor pair their Doctor Portal account on a 3Shape TRIOS Scanner?
Yes. You can pair one 3Shape Communicate account with two or more Doctor Portal accounts, with the following conditions:
The first attempt at pairing between 3Shape and the Doctor Portal can be made from either 3Shape Dental Desktop or the Doctor Portal.
All subsequent pairing will require that it is done from the user's Doctor Portal account and not from 3Shape Dental Desktop. (3Shape Dental Desktop will only prompt the user to provide credentials once, so if it has already been paired, you won't be able to add another user from Dental Desktop.)
Can I pair two or more 3Shape Communicate accounts with one Doctor Portal account?
No. The integration is not designed to have more than one 3Shape Communicate account paired with a Doctor Portal account. If you attempt to pair an additional 3Shape Communicate account, when one has already been paired, you will receive an error message.
What Dental Desktop version do I need in order to use the pairing feature?
To use the pairing feature, you need to make sure your Dental Desktop software is updated to 1.7.6.1 or later. (This can be found in Dental Desktop under; More>Settings > Installed Apps & Subscriptions)
Are there any circumstances where ClearCorrect cannot be pre-loaded as a lab?
Yes. If you use TRIOS Design Studio and Implant Studio, you may have restrictions that will affect your ability to update to software version 1.7.6.1 or later.
With the exception of the above, if you have updated your Dental Desktop software to version 1.7.6.1 or later, ClearCorrect should be available as a lab in Dental Desktop.
What should I do if I encounter issues?
If you run across any issues you can check the following:
Has your Dental Desktop software been updated to 1.7.6.1 or later? (This can be found in Dental Desktop under; Settings > Installed software & Upgrades)
Make sure you are paired. (This can be found in Dental Desktop under; Settings > Connections or in Doctor Portal > My Account > Connections)

How do I report any issues that I encounter?
You can report issues to your local Provider Services Representative.
When discussing your issue make sure you have the following information available:
The Doctor Portal Case ID (if available)
Patient name (if available)
Your 3Shape Communicate email address
The TRIOS Case ID (if available)
The 3Shape Case number (if available)
Your 3Shape Dental Desktop dongle number. The dongle number can be found in the Dental Desktop application under; Settings > Subscription Management.
Provide a detailed description of the issue experienced to Provider Services at support@clearcorrect.com.
Be sure to include screenshots, if applicable and the steps taken before experiencing the issue.

You'll need to open the UNITE Store and download the ClearCorrect App. This article walks you through how to download, install, and use the app.
Do I have to use the ClearCorrect App with 3Shape UNITE?
No, you may continue using your existing 3Shape TRIOS workflow, this integration will be labeled "ClearCorrect Classic". We do encourage you to use the ClearCorrrect App for new case submission because it enables a much more seamless workflow and supports all-in-one case submissions directly from your scanner application.
Do I need my eShop credential to access 3Shape UNITE?
Yes. If you are in an eShop enabled country, you will need your eShop credentials in order to pair the ClearCorrect App with your Doctor Portal account. This only needs to be done the first time you use the App.
How do I submit requests for revisions or retainers with 3Shape UNITE?
You can access a patient's case for a revision through 3Shape TRIOS UNITE. Open to the case details page and select revision. Fill in all information for the revision, upload new scans and submit.
Can I drag and drop files (images) into the embedded ClearCorrect workflow in 3Shape UNITE, just like I can in the Doctor Portal?
Not currently. 3Shape is still developing a “drag and drop” functionality for the 3Shape UNITE platform, it will be included in later updates to the ClearCorrect App.
Can I pair multiple Doctor Portal accounts with the same 3Shape dongle?
Yes. Simply create a new user in the 3Shape platform and you will be prompted to sign in with eShop credentials again when you first initiate the ClearCorrect workflow. This is especially useful for practices with multiple clinicians sharing a scanner.

The upgrade time is dependent on the technical setup and your internet connection - upgrades usually require 1-2 hours.

No, you will continue to use the dongle you already have.

No, there is no additional cost to upgrade or use 3Shape UNITE. The upgrade is completely free.

3Shape Communicate is still the backbone of 3Shape's order exchange and communication services between clinics and labs around the world. 3Shape UNITE and Communicate will therefore coexist. Several features such as how you connect with labs, how you interact with labs and get order progress information from your lab have been improved and are now manageable from within 3Shape UNITE.
What will happen to my current lab connections when updating to 3Shape UNITE?
Your existing lab connections will be synced automatically and appear as a lab in the UNITE Store.
