How to Submit a Case with a Virtuo Vivo Scanner Tutorial

 

Getting Connected

The integration of Virtuo Vivo intraoral scanner with ClearCorrect is available in countries where ClearCorrect operates. This integration is facilitated through a dedicated Virtuo Vivo workflow, which enables the export of STL files to the ClearCorrect Doctor Portal.

To enable the integration, follow these steps:

1. Open the Virtuo Vivo scanner application and navigate to "User Settings."

2. Select the "Export" tab and either log in with your ClearCorrect credentials or create a new account if you haven't registered as a ClearCorrect provider yet.

3. Link your ClearCorrect Doctor Portal account:

  • If you are not registered as a ClearCorrect provider within Virtuo Vivo, select the "Create an account" button and follow the instructions to register.
  • For ClearCorrect providers, select the "Log in" button and enter your account information to link.

Submitting a New Aligner or Retainer Case

This workflow enables the submission of a new aligner case or a retainer case by exporting STL files directly to the ClearCorrect Doctor Portal. Follow the provided steps to maximize the efficiency of this streamlined process.

Steps to create a new ClearCorrect case:

1. Open the Virtuo Vivo scanner application to start a new case. Navigate to the side menu, click on the workspace icon, and select "New ClearCorrect Case."

2. Click on the “Add new patient” button.

3. Enter the patient's information, select the treatment information, 'ClearCorrect Aligner' or 'Retainer Case', and then click the 'Next' button.

4. Begin the scanning series for the patient’s arches, starting with the lower arch. Utilize the Cleaning Tools if needed to tidy up remaining artifacts (such as excess soft tissue) on scans, then click "Finish Scan."

5. Click the "Next" button to continue the scan series for the patient’s upper arch and bite.

6. Confirm all the General Information, Lab Options, and add Additional Information if desired. Then, select "Export" to load it into the Outbox.

7. Locate the case in the Outbox to send it to the Doctor Portal. Click on the case web icon to be directed to the Doctor Portal.

8. Complete the "Create an Order" workflow in the Doctor Portal, ensuring all information is accurate, scan files are attached, and any additional necessary information or instructions are provided before clicking the "Submit" button.

Submitting a Case Revision 

This workflow streamlines the process of requesting case revisions by providing clear instructions and facilitating the direct export of STL files to the ClearCorrect Doctor Portal.

To submit a revision for a case, follow these steps:

1. Locate the case by using the search field for the patient's name and/or the drop-down filters, selecting:

  • Search: Patient Name
  • Status: Exported
  • Treatment type: ClearCorrect

2. Select the three dots on the case card to access the menu, then choose "Revise" from the pop-up menu.

3. Complete the revision instructions by providing detailed guidance, including revision goals, identification of non-tracking issues, problematic angles/views, desired changes, preferences for overcorrection, or any other specific requests. Then, select the "Next" button located in the lower right corner.

4. Initiate the scanning process for the patient's arches, align, review, then export.

5. Locate the case in the Outbox to send to the Doctor Portal. Click on the case web icon to be directed to the Doctor Portal.

6. Complete the "Request a Revision" form in the Doctor Portal and submit the case.

Classic Workflow: Exporting STL from Virtuo Vivo to upload in the Doctor Portal

To complete the classic workflow, export STL files from Virtuo Vivo and upload into the Doctor Portal by following these steps:

1. Files can be exported directly from Virtuo Vivo, either from the Patient Case page or the Case Management page.

  • From the Patient Case page, choose Export Type as “Local”, and then click the “Export” button at the bottom right of the page.

  • From the Case Management page, click the three dots for the case menu drop-down, then choose “Export STLs”.

2. Log into the Doctor Portal and proceed through the steps to create an order. Scans can be uploaded in the Records Uploader section.
3. Select the tab for 3D-Models.

4. Click on the dropdown menu to select Dental Wings.

5. Select Add Files to upload images from your computer for both upper arch and lower arch.
