Are bite ramps for everyone?
Bite ramps are not for everyone. The doctor needs to complete a thorough analysis of the case in order to decide if bite ramps should be used or not.
Should I fill the bite ramp areas with resin?
You should not fill the bite ramp areas with resin. They are designed to work without any resin, and you should advise your staff not to confuse them with engagers since they appear very similar in design.
What should I tell my patient regarding the bite ramps?
Let the patient know that bite ramps can make their bite feel quite different when wearing the aligners and possibly also right after removing the aligners. They should inform their treating clinician of any discomfort as soon as possible. Because of the location of the bite ramps, they will make contact with the patient's tongue and it may take a while to get used to their presence.
Can bite ramps aid with grinding in patients with a low mandibular angle?
Yes, bite ramps are designed to help resist occlusal forces. Also remember the patient is going to change the aligners regularly so there should not be any issue with wear and tear of the surfaces.
What types of bite ramps does ClearCorrect offer?

What depth of bite ramps are available?

Can I request to have the bite ramps start on any step of treatment?
By default, we plan bite ramps to start on Step #1 through the end of treatment. You can change the start step to any other odd numbered step and you can modify the number of steps you want them to last. Will engagers be placed on the same tooth where there is a bite ramp?
We can place engagers on the same tooth where there is a bite ramp, however, it will be placed on the opposite side from the bite ramp.
Will the bite ramp adjust in height as the bite is being opened?
The ClearCorrect technician will adjust the height of the bite ramp every few steps.
Can I edit a bite ramp in ClearPilot on any step during the treatment?
3D controls for bite ramps allow you to make modifications of the feature in the DR Step (based on last step before overcorrection). It’s not currently possible to modify a different step other than this one. The technician will adjust the position of the bite ramp(s) on the other steps based on the changes made in the DR step in ClearPilot.
Can I request bite ramps for a case that has already started?
